Shoji Room Divider

When the pandemic lockdown started in Finland, I was stuck working from my apartment. I didn’t have a dedicated office, so I decided to build a room divider to wall off a section of my living room. I had long been fascinated by traditional Japanese joinery and architecture which meant that a shoji inspired divider was the natural choice.

The wood is red alder with a beautifully warm color, with Washi paper as a light diffusor.
